Problem :
Investment professionals often use multiple tools to research data, verify sources, and execute actions, causing context switching and inefficiencies. Existing chatbots focus primarily on answering questions but stop short of enabling real decision execution.
This gap limits the usefulness of AI in high-stakes financial workflows where speed, accuracy, and accountability are critical.
Solution :
I designed a proof-of-concept conversational AI that combines research, source validation, and action execution within a single interface.
The chatbot not only provides AI-generated insights with references but also supports placing orders, issuing follow-up instructions, and refining decisions through structured prompts. Clear confirmation steps ensure users remain in control of all actions.
Challenge :
Designing trust in a financial AI system was the core challenge. The experience had to prevent blind reliance on AI while still feeling powerful and efficient.
Another challenge was clearly distinguishing between AI suggestions and user-approved actions to maintain accountability and compliance.
Summary :
This project highlights how conversational AI can evolve from passive insight delivery to active decision support when designed responsibly. By integrating explainability, confirmation, and execution into the experience, the chatbot demonstrates a mature approach to AI-driven financial workflows
